GENERAL RULES & GUIDELINESJust like all forums, we have rules too. I know, bleh, blah, we hate rules. But you must read these in order to confirm you know how things work here on Blood & Fire. Our rules are not complicated. However, they are very important and essential to a good roleplay experience on our site. Just do what they say and you'll be fine, and have nothing to worry about, ok? Ok. Let's get started
1. ACCOUNT REGISTRATION. Be sure to read all footnotes below each field if there are any! Also, register your name in Regular Case, in First M. Last like so:
Katniss M. Everdeen
The "M." of course is your character's middle initial. Please make sure that you fill out all fields correctly!
2. CHARACTERS. We do not have a limit to how many characters you may have. However, all of them
must be active in roleplay, not just by logging on doesn't make your character active. They have to be posting in
roleplay threads, not just in Game threads, or letter threads, etc. Just make sure all of them are active and we won't be mad. If some become inactive, we will ask you to choose a few to play because you can't handle playing all of the ones you have.
Also, do not try to roleplay with yourself, the point of a roleplay site is to roleplay with other people, so don't post with yourself,
unless it's an event or something where you can do that, which will happen from time to time if we feel like we need to get our post count up or something like that.
3. WORD COUNT. Blood & Fire has a No Word Count policy.
However, your posts should be
extremely detailed. For example, let's say you're a Tribute for this Hunger Games, and you and someone else's Tribute are fighting.
- Quote :
- Sammy ran to Jennifer and swung at her with the axe.
Even though there are no grammatical errors, you could be way more specific in how Sammy ran, what he looked like, what he was thinking, and how he swung the axe at Jennifer. Also, why they were fighting, and what he was fighting for. Like so:
- Quote :
- It was the last day. There was only 3 of them left. Sammy couldn't let this Career from District 2 kill him like she did the others in the Bloodbath. He would have to win this fight. He wanted to win for his family. He isn't the type of person to kill. However, she killed his friend, his ally, Max. This was his motive. He would win for Max. He promised him he would avenge him. Tired from running from Jennifer, he turned around as he heard her stop. She was smirking at him, and he was ready to wipe that smile from her face. In anger, Sammy ran quickly towards Jennifer, yelling "You're gonna pay!" and aimed the axe at her head from her left side, and his right.
It could be longer than this as well, however, this is more acceptable than the first example. Please just be specific and not lazy with your roleplaying. Have fun with it, get into it.
4. OUT OF CHARACTER CONDUCT. While out of character, everyone should be treated with respect. We do not tolerate any drama unless it is in character, because as they say: "Ain't nobody got time for that." If we see that people are having issues with each other, it will be settled calmly by the staff. If you feel someone has been mean to you in any way, you should consult a staff member, not the person.
This site is rated PG-14 and PG-15 you could say, so mature things are discussed. However, mark it with an [M] for younger visitors and members.
Cyberbullying is not tolerated. If we see it, you will be banned. No questions asked.
Spamming is not allowed.
5. GRAPHICS & CODING. People have worked very hard to get the site looking the way it does. So be sure to make all codes 600 px width maximum, and try not to stretch the board.
Graphics are currently 200x300 for all avatars, and signatures should be no larger than 500x300. Be sure that your Signature does not take up a whole page. If it is too long, we'll let you know.
6. ADVERTISING. So advertising outside of the specific section of the forum is not allowed, don't PM everyone the link to your site. If you do, you will be banned. It's not nice. We wouldn't do it to you, so don't do it to us.
7. THAT'S IT. If you feel something should be added, be sure to tell us.
If you don't follow the rules, it will result in warnings. Too many warnings will result in a ban. Too many bans will result in a permanent ban.
